Excellent location. One of the streets in downtown with very little traffic. Everything is short walk from there. There is some construction work on the courtyard side, meaning lot of noise during office hours. They have issues with AC, it is basically not working, just creating noise :). You can feel it when you step in from the street, no big difference between outside and inside in the evening hours. Staff is friendly and tried to help with everything thye could, even installing a fan in my room, but room with such a bad aircondition in Portugal during July is no go. They know about it, it is central AC, and they are apparently trying to fix it with their provider.

Had to go to sister hotel ,Browns hotel 50 yards away no problem ,breakfast very good.the staff at Downtown were friendly and very helpful on anything I needed to and explore Lisbon. Luis and Marisa particularly helpful and nice. When arrived the first night there was complimentary bottle of wine waiting in my room ,a nice touch I thought. Also liked the very comfortable large bed nice shower and plenty of bathroom body wash and soap gels,if I wanted fresh towels or more bottled water in room the cleaning were prompt in supplying them.a good city break.

Great location right downtown Lisboa. Easy walk to Alfama, Bairro Alto, Chiado etc. Remodeled old building with modern amenities. Large bathroom, welcome cocktails in their sister hotel around the corner. Room was stocked daily with coffee, first day also had pastries. Nice lounge by reception area.Rua dos Sapateiros is narrow but has easy access by Ubers so drop off and pick up with huge suitcases wasn’t an issue.

This hotel was extremely stylish and well-decorated, probably one of the best! We enjoyed the ambiance and thoughtfulness of the aesthetics. Breakfast buffet had great selections. Location was right in the city centre, very convenient to get around. Staff was amazing and attentive, and made great suggestions for things to do in the area when we arrived early.
